"These dresses are unbelievable. If I could dress like this everyday, I would." After starring in two short fashion films directed by John Malkovich and Bella Freud, and with the launch of her big screen debut this summer playing a girl racer in The Fast and the Furious 2, her wish could come true as she slips effortlessly from model to glossy movie star. One of nine children, Devon (named "after the place, my mum thought it was beautiful") Aoki's hard-to-place exotic look is the result of her Japanese, British and German background. This eclectic ancestry is reflected in her style; equally happy turning on the Hollywood glamour or relaxing in jeans and Timberlands. A model from the age of 15, Aoki has the fashion insider's knack of mixing and matching designer with vintage and high street. And she also has a collection of Manolo Blahniks to rival that of Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw: "I'm guilty as charged on this one. I try not to count the number of Manolos in my wardrobe."
